The truth is, although King’s Mortar & Pestle began with me, I haven’t really been doing it alone.
Tim has been there all along.
For years, much of what he did happened behind the scenes. He supported what I was building, promoted my products, listened to more ideas than I’m sure he ever expected to hear about herbs, offered his opinions and ideas, and helped with designs. When it was time for a show or event, he was there helping me set up, sell, tear down, and do whatever else needed to be done.
So while his role in KMP may be becoming more official now, his involvement certainly isn’t new.
The Next Chapter — Together
As KMP has grown, so has the vision for what it can become. And somewhere along the way, what began as my little herbal business started becoming something we could build together.
Tim brings a different perspective than I do—and I need that. He is an advisor and a sounding board. He gives me his opinion, helps me think through ideas, and, perhaps most importantly, helps keep me on schedule when my brain has decided we’d rather start seventeen new projects.
He has always believed in what I was doing and supported it. Now, as we move into this next season, he is stepping out from behind the scenes and becoming a more visible part of where we’re going.
And I love that this next chapter includes both of us.
Because underneath the products, the business plans, the new ideas, KMP Resources, KMP Innovations, and the larger vision of Kingdom Endeavors Group, there are still real people.
That’s important to us.
When someone meets Tim and me, I hope they don’t walk away thinking we have all the answers. We don’t.
I hope they walk away feeling that they were heard.
I hope they feel comfortable asking questions. I hope they feel safe and confident exploring what a holistic approach to wellness might look like for them. And I hope they understand that we’re not here to tell them what their journey has to look like.
We’re here to help them explore it.
Because wellness is personal. Real people have complicated lives. We have families and jobs and stress and budgets and health concerns. We don’t always eat perfectly. We don’t always do what we know we’re supposed to do. And sometimes we don’t need somebody standing over us telling us everything we’re doing wrong.
Sometimes we just need someone willing to walk alongside us while we figure out the next right step.
Maybe that’s the best way to describe what King’s Mortar & Pestle has become.
It started with my own search for answers.
It grew from a desire to help other people.
And now, six years later, we get to keep building it together.
I’m still learning.
We’re still growing.
And we’re still taking the next step.
And then another.
And another.
